Dear [GROWER NAME]:
As a valued grower, we wanted to share some exciting news about DuPont™ Acapela® fungicide and why it should be part of your disease protection toolbox this season.
White mould is an increasing concern for growers in Ontario and Quebec.
If conditions are conducive to infection, yield losses can reach as high as 50%.
It can also hurt seed quality and reduce the crop’s standability.
DuPont™ Acapela® is the first foliar fungicide registered in Canada for the suppression of white mould in soybeans. When used as part of an integrated pest management program, Acapela® can significantly reduce yield loss from this aggressive disease.
In addition to being an innovative new tool for the management of white mould, Acapela® also controls a broad-spectrum of other important foliar diseases. In corn, Acapela® delivers exceptional protection against Northern corn leaf blight. In soybeans, it provides protection against Septoria brown spot, and frogeye leafspot (Cercospora).
Application timing and rate depend on whichever disease you’re targeting. Soil-borne pathogens such as white mould require earlier application, whereas foliar diseases require later application.
